Alternative Final Version:

Below is the alternate version of my finished music video, which features the old lyric boards. I will not be submtting this version as the final media text and have outlined the pros and cons of the media text:



Pros:

1. More personal (supported by audience feedback)
2. Audience reaction to the part were he laughs and gives a sigh of relief has been that of humour - they laughed.
3. lyrics on the boards have much more clarity

Cons:

1. Doesn't have the style of Russian Constructivism
2. Looks funny after seeing the Russian constructivist lyric boards
3. The creamy yellow doesn't suit with the overall theme and style
4. At the end, the lyric boards don't fit with the music as good as the newer footage does.
5. Time is filled with the lead singer eating skittles - reason was that it was 'random' and the surrealism allowed it because "anything goes" - however, the reason doesn't come across clearly enough
6. The execution of the Skittles-eating 'scene(?)' is poor as it takes him a while to get into the packet and has to bite it - looks odd and takes away the lead singer's representation of being 'cool' and 'dominant' - how can he be dominant if he can't get into the packet of Skittles?
7. He doesn't look confident - whereas he does look a bit more confident in the later footage that was taken and used.
